Our Objectives
The mission of this portal is the studies of DNA Repair Mechanisms in Colorectal Cancer, Endometrial Cancer and Lynch Syndrome. We wished to design such a portal that could be a user friendly GUI, with ease of use. Here we have defined some objectives to develop this database, which are as mentioned below:
- Study of related Genetic markers and Protein markers.
- Study of related DNA Repair Mechanisms , i.e. Base Excision Repair, Mismatch Repair and Base Excision/Mismatch Repair.
- Study of related Transcription Factors, i.e. A process to generate an RNA template from DNA.
- Study of related Annotations, i.e. The process of attaching biological information to sequences.
- Study of related Pathways, i.e. A series of actions in a cell, leading to a certain product or change in a cell.
- Study of Gene Interactions.
- Study of related Conserved Domains, containing conserved sequence patterns allowing for their detection in polypeptide sequences.
- Study of related miRNA's, i.e. A small non-coding RNA molecule that regulate gene expression.
- Study of related Gene Ontologies, i.e. Biological Processes, Molecular Functions and Cellular Components.
- Study of related Multiple Sequence Alignments.
- Study of related Diseases and Disorders.
- Study of Methylation of related Genes.
- Study of Drugs targeting the respective Diseases/Genes.
- Study of CNV (Copy Number Variation) of related Genes .
- Study of Somatic Mutations of related Genes.
