NER Pathway

We know that the NER pathway is crucial in the process of DNA repair and is distinguish-able in terms of the initial step of the DNA damage recognition, i.e., two modes of NER: Global genome NER (GG–NER) and Transcription coupled NER (TC–NER).

The pathway was reconstructed using CellDesigner(TM) tool, so as to identify which key genes were responsible for initiating and regulating the NER process and how mutations in those genes can lead to genetic disoreders like XP, CS, TTD.
